Today I went through and re-familiarized myself with a new contender on the virtual character sheet front, DiceCloud (version 2). It is an open source character tracker that is browser agnostic (the same, no matter if you are on your favourite phone browser or desktop browser). It has a very clean, and customizable interface.

When I went to create my current in-game character, Wet Willy – the Swashbuckling Water Genasi I did run into a few hiccups. This was because I decided to rush in and not read the handy step-by-step guide they have provided.

Once I slowed down and started paying attention to what I should be doing, I found the site fairly easy to navigate and set up. I can safely say this is a character sheet that would be very forgiving/welcoming to any homebrew your DM permits/adds!

Their design philosophy is that it will take you a little longer than average to set up your character, but it will be worth the effort. You can easily equip/dequip items and gear, turn complex spells effects (like enlarge person) a one button click, and track everything on your character sheet with simplicity! To add to this, they have included a wonderful journal which also allows you to add experience (to easily remind your DM why you have 207 more XP than the rest of your adventuring party) and remember the name of that wonderfully mustached bar keep from Waterdeep.

I will say there is a little room for improvement, but DiceCloud has thought of that! They have an incredibly intuitive feedback button, and are also accessible by reddit.
