Dungeons & Daddies
I was recently introduced to the D&D Podcast, Dungeons & Daddies. You immediately know it is going to be a tongue-in-cheek time with the tagline – “Not a BDSM podcast”. The cast is comprised of Dungeon Master/Daddie Master – Anthony Burch, Matt Arnold playing the stay at home jock/barbarian dad Darryl Wilson, Will Campos playing the hippie, granola loving druid dad Henry Oak, Beth May playing the emotionally detached business savvy step-dad rogue Ron Stampler, and Freddie Wong playing the cover band bard dad Glenn Close. The four of them are hurled in Darryl’s mini-van into the world of the forgotten realms on the way to soccer practice with their assortment of children.
After that, it is an assortment of belly laughter-inducing Dad jokes, pale ale appreciation, good morals, bad actions, and adventures. I want to delve further into the scenes and situations they create, but I think those are best appreciated first hand.
I truly think this is a podcast best listened to at home (trust me, the comedy is a hazard when driving) with an ice cold, twist off pale ale. If you do listen to it in a van, I believe it will pair best with a 2013 Honda Odyssey.
You can find their podcast on https://www.dungeonsanddaddies.com or through iTunes, Spotify or Google. They are also on Patreon, available at: https://www.patreon.com/dungeonsanddads.
May the d20 ever roll in your favor!
